University
Oaks is a community of approximately 240 homes located in the
heart of Houston. The neighborhood was first platted in 1939 and developed on
land formerly owned by Ben Taub.
We are a diverse community nestled next to the
main campus of the University of Houston, just north of Brays Bayou.
The University Oaks Civic Club is our homeowners'
association and your participation in neighborhood events sponsored by the
Civic Club as well as by residents is welcomed and encouraged.
Civic Club meetings are held the second Wednesday
of each month in one of the resident's homes. Consult your newsletter for the
location of upcoming meetings and neighborhood events. The Civic Club usually
does not meet during the summer months.
Once a year, on a Saturday morning, the Civic Club
sponsors Breakfast on the Bayou -- a pleasant gathering of neighbors for coffee
and munchies on the park adjacent to the bayou. Other neighborhood activities
arranged by residents, such as the monthly book club and garden club, are
available for your participation.
See you around the neighborhood.
WE ARE REBUILDING OUR
